Motivational Mondays Series- Know Your Worth

Hey my little loves so today I’m wanting to start a new and my first ever blog series called ‘Motivational Mondays’ where basically every Monday (with a little bit of luck) I'm going to do a motivational post based on various topics! I’m looking for ideas on what types of topics/ areas in people’s lives where they could do with that little bit of extra motivation, so if you guys have any suggestions I'd love to hear from you!

 

Today’s motivational post is basically inspired from one of my favourite songs ‘Because I Am A Queen- By Inia Arie’. This song is so inspiring to me and I really believe that the lyrics speak about how a lot of girls often feel.  The song talks about learning to love yourself unconditionally and I think that this is an aspect in which a lot of us fail in. A lot of us crave love and attention from others which is only normal but in doing so we forget to love ourselves. It’s important for one to know their own worth as knowing your worth helps you grow and remain strong in times of challenge and struggle. We are not built like a supermodel in the magazines and no matter how hard we try to look like the girl on the glossy covers of Vogue or Elle we will never look like them because 9 times out of 10 the girl on the cover of that magazine in reality doesn’t look like that either.

 

Over time I’ve learnt that learning to love yourself is my own personal key ingredient of my own happiness. Until you learn to love yourself I truly don’t believe you will be able to appreciate the things around you. Even if you have everything in life exactly the way how you want it, you cannot possibly begin to enjoy nor truly appreciate these things if you aren’t at peace with yourself. If you love yourself and you know your worth other people will see this in you and people will treat you exactly how you should be treated because they will see a spark in you that not many people have.

So I guess what I’m trying to do is to motivate you all to look beyond your flaws because trust me we all have them (even if photoshop can crop them out) and rather than focus on the negative aspects focus on the positives because ‘you can be the most beautiful person in the world and everybody can see light and rainbows when they look at you, but if you, yourself don’t know it, then all of it doesn’t matter.’ – C.
